• Forum Software Updated!

I`ve finally got around to switching the forum to Rickard Andersson`s excellent punBB software. miniBB was fine, but a few features were disabled as they didn`t run properly. Guess I screwed up with the installation somewhere. The new board should hopefully be better for everyone.

Even though the new system does have the ability to send private messages, do NOT contact me via this option for support. If you do, your message will be deleted and ignored. This feature is ideally for members wanting to contact other members.

• Nickel Sale System for Marketing!

Some of you in marketing may be familiar with the term 'Nickel Sale'. In case you're a newbie and you don't know what a nickel sale is, I'll explain.

The sale price of an item starts with a relatively low price, and with each sale it increases by a set amount, usually 5 cents, hence the term nickel sale. The sooner the item is bought, then the lower the price.

It's an extremely powerful way of kicking up a lot of interest in a product, and pulling in a chunk of cash very quickly. As the starting price is usually low (much lower than the actual final release price of a product), a very nice bargain can be had when the item is bought in a nickel sale.

Earlier this year I wrote a Nickel Sale system. A Nickel Sale for this Nickel Script system will go live shortly, so if you want to get it at the best price, make sure you are subscribed to a Maian Script World newsletter. This script could be very beneficial to people in Marketing.

• Important Security Updates

A few moderate security issues have been reported on Secunia. My thanks to Vit for bringing this to my attention. These issues are now fixed. If you are a newsletter subscriber, more information has been sent via e-mail detailing which files need updating.

Updates are not available for scripts older than the current versions.
