Welcome to Maian Script World, a collection of free PHP scripts, written by myself, released under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Licence. Some of these scripts were originally released under a commercial licence, but are now completely free of charge. You are free to use these scripts for both commercial or personal use. I only ask that you leave the link to my website in the footer.

If you insist on removing the copyright notice, please use the link above for more information.

I also have a few commercial products available, the links to these are shown in the right hand menu. These are ideal tools for marketeers. If you are interested, click the links for more information. Please do not request support for these products here, use the links provided on each site.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy my work,

Security Updates - July 2010

A few script invunerabilities were reported to me this week by mr_me, a member of Corelan Team. These issues were handled in a very professional manner and not made public. I have since fixed these issues and prepared an update package for the affected files.

To download, click the following:
Security Updates July 2010

Affected scripts:
Maian Cart, Maian Events, Maian Gallery, Maian Uploader, Maian Weblog, Maian Recipe & Maian Greetings

Note that some of the files in the zip file were not affected, but have been modified as a security precaution. These updates are ONLY for the current version and should be updated if you are running the current version installed before July 21st 2010. If you are unsure, replace them anyway.

It is worth noting that most admin issues are easily avoided by renaming the 'admin' directory to something unique. You should AWAYS rename the admin directory when you install any scripts from this website.

My thanks to mr_me of the Corelan Team.

JQuery is Awesome!

Of the new wave javascript libraries/frameworks around at the moment, JQuery is by far my favourite. Whilst I`ve touched on a few JQuery code snippets in previous versions of my scripts, its only while coding the new version of Maian Cart v2.0 and going through the JQuery API, that I truly understand its capabilities. It is awesome. For anyone not sure of Ajax, its a great starting point as its takes away the headaches of trying to get client-side applications to communicate with server-side scripts and applications. With JQuery, Ajax is a breeze.

The great thing about JQuery is that, for all its advanced options, its very easy to use, implement and understand. I never thought I would ever get excited about javascript, but it brings a whole new exciting level to my development process. Coding the many Ajax routines for Maian Cart v2.0 has been fun.

I`m hoping Maian Cart v2.0 will be ready for beta testing in a couple of months, but we`ll see. Kind of depends on work and how busy I am. Most likely it will be later on in the year. Updates to follow.

Maian Support v2.0 Released!

The brand new version of my ticket system Maian Support is now available for download.

http://www.maiansupport.com

This new release marks a slightly different direction for my software. For the first time ever my software is encoded using PHP encryption software. Source Guardian loaders are required to be installed on your server for Maian Support to run. You`ll find more details in the Maian Support docs and also on the website, as well as the Source Guardian website itself. All future script releases will have the same encoding.

The script remains free, but has a few limitations in the free version. A small fee is required to remove the limitations and the copyright in the script. Discounts are offered for multiple domains as well as a developer licence, which may interest some web developers. All future upgrades are free of charge.

Another significant change is the software has its own brand new website. Free support is still offered via the support forums here at MSM, however if you have purchased a licence priority contact support is offered free of charge.

My scripts have undergone various transformations over the years with many people telling me I should turn them into commercial applications. This is now my long term goal with many of my systems, so expect a few changes to happen here in the next couple of years. As always I would like to thank everyone for the continued support for my scripts, I very much appreciate it.

I hope you enjoy Maian Support. If you have any questions or feedback, don`t hesitate to contact me.
