No, absolutely not. None of my projects will ever contain any form of spyware.

There is no reason why any of my projects should fail on a Windows server, but I cannot give a 100% guarantee as all my projects are tested within Apache environments. Easiest way to find out is to download a script and try it out.

Yes. All my scripts are written and tested in a PHPv5.0 environment. From May 2008 I no longer test for PHP4 as this is now deprecated.

None of my scripts have been tested for PHP6. If you are running PHPv5.3 or higher you may see errors regarding deprecated functions. This is a note for developers and won`t affect the current scripts if run under PHP4 or PHP5. To remove these messages you should set your error reporting to not show them via your PHP.ini file.

All deprecated functions will be removed in future updates.

Register_globals has been a main bugbear of PHP when it comes to security. Many exploits are down to poorly coded scripts and register_globals being enabled on a server. All my scripts will work with register_globals ON or OFF, however if you have access to your PHP.ini file it is recommended they run with this set to OFF.

The PHP development team are addressing the issue of register_globals in PHP6.

I like to think they are very secure, but minor security flaws do appear from time to time. A couple of exploits surfaced on older releases, but generally there have been no serious issues for a while. If you do hear of an exploit in any of my scripts, please let me know and I`ll update it. All scripts are downloaded without warranty and are used at your own risk.

In general, all security issues are fixed within 24hrs of them being reported to me.

Quite simply, I don`t always have time. Things start to get complicated when you try and make it possible to upgrade from previous versions, especially if there are many different updates. Upgrades are not always guaranteed.

There are no guarantees that the spam prevention implementations in the scripts will be 100% effective. I think for most people they are proving ok. Try a search on Google for other alternatives.
