admin popup dialogs & categories isue

Hi there! Wow, thank yo very much for this gallery, it's awesome. I have 2 questions:

1) While I'm in the admin section, and I open "popup dialogs", inside those "windows" are showing the gallery index hmm  If I disable Mod_ReWrite feature, I get 404 "page not found" message errors inside those windows. Here's a screenshot when I try to select a color: http://img225.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gl1no3.png

Edit: WOW! I had changed the admin directory to a custom name (and changing the defined.inc.php file as well) When I reverted this change, the popup dialogs are now showing OK. I guess this may be a bug.. maybe "admin" directory is hardcoded when opening those dialogs?

2) My Categories are not showing!! xD In the main index I got Random Selection, LAtest Images, etc, but My Categories doesn't show O.o" Have a look please: clanuis.net/foro_beta/mapas3 user and pass "maian" ;D  (Edit: I forgot to mention that I can see my categories inside the admin panel, so it should be configured ok, but for some reason the categories doesn't show in the gallery index)

I can send you a private message with temporary admin login info if you want to take a look from inside wink

Oh, I haven't customized the script (just renamed the admin folder and changing that setting accordly)... thank you!

Edit: Sorry, I forgot a third thing xD

3) Is there a way to setup the gallery so when you click the image to view its full size.. instead of that, I got the "Save As" browser dialog to save the image to disk. I would like a "Download Image" behavior, not to view its full size (because my images are always large, and with preview is enough for most of my visitors) big_smile thanks big_smile Edit: I want to clarify, I don't want to sell downloads. I just want it to be easier for my visitors to download the images without opening them in full size view (actually, with my large images they look ugly inside the full view frame) and without having to right click>save as... I would like 1 click and download ;D

Edit 2:

4) Emm, sorry, it's me again xD  but.. I just set up "Enable Theme Switcher" ON in the admin panel, but it doesn't show the theme swticher in my gallery index and nowhere actually sad  Edit: Ok, I saw this: " Use <?php echo $this->THEME_SWITCHER; ?> to load the theme switcher div in the header template."  so, where exactly do I need to add that code? in what file? smile

5) Is there a nice way to integrate the gallery into an existing site (a MyBB forum in my case)? "iframes" maybe?

Glad you like it. smile

No, you can change the admin directory name. If you do, you need to alter the path in the admin/inc/header.php file too.

My Categories are not showing!! xD In the main index I got Random Selection, LAtest Images, etc, but My Categories doesn't show O.o" Have a look please: clanuis.net/foro_beta/mapas3 user and pass "maian" ;D

Sorry, unless any donation is sent I don`t look at installations for free.

This isn`t supported in Maian Gallery.

Theme switcher should appear at the bottom of the page if enabled. Have you added some other themes before enabling?

Is there a nice way to integrate the gallery into an existing site (a MyBB forum in my case)? "iframes" maybe

Its fairly easy to integrate Maian Gallery into another design, just edit the system templates.

David.

Re: admin popup dialogs & categories isue

Sure! It's clanuis.net/foro_beta/mapas3 the folder is password protected because it's a beta forum and I don't want anybody see the gallery before I release it wink so when you are prompted to login you can do that with  user and pass "maian" ;D

Ok, thanks. Silly question, but when you added the categories you did enable them didn`t you? Did you check the 'Enable category' box?

David.

Re: admin popup dialogs & categories isue

Emm, one more question, how do I avoid the "inner pop-up" from showing when I click the image?

I tried to comment everything inside the case 'view-picture':

.. I even put a die("DIE"); inside that case, but it keeps showing the inner pop-up (where the full view image is supposed to show)

Can you please guide me wich lines should I edit to avoid the inner pop-up to show? However, I still need the link to the image (I don't want to remove the "a href" part) because I have now a custom behavior inside the case "view-picture" but I don't need that inner pop-up sad

I hope you can help me big_smile Thanks in advance

EDIT: Sorry to boither you again, but I'm now excited editing your awesome gallery big_smile  I want to know what to edit in order to let the original filenames in the full size pictures smile Example: I don't want the gallery converts my picture2.png into thumb5-1.png  I want the original filename to be preserved big_smile  The thumbnail can be whatever the gallery changes it, but I want the original filename in the original size file big_smile

Re: admin popup dialogs & categories isue

The inner pop up isn`t controlled by PHP. Its javascript. You need to remove the 'rel' tag from the pictures template:

rel="gb_page_center[<?php echo $this->BIG_WINDOW; ?>]"

Remove that block of code.

If you don`t want the images renamed, open the 'admin/classes/class_images.inc.php' file. Find line 287:

return $name.$this->getNextID().'-'.$cat.$ext;

Change to:

return $file.$ext;

David.

Re: admin popup dialogs & categories isue

WOW! worked like a charm big_smile !!

However, the second line should be

return $file;

because I could notice that $file variable already have the file extension.

Thank you very much, I would spend days doing this withour your guides ^_^

Thanks, thanks! Greets!
