Hi David,

i would like like to use the Maian Gallery for a local Music Festival and i got a few questions if you don't mind.

First i have to say that like all of your scripts it looks absolutely great and interesting.

1. I installled it already and i'd like to use it as a "normal" gallery. I don't want to sell picture, just display them. Do i understand it correctly, that i just have to disable the IPN feature for that?

2. If i choose to sell, how exactly does this work? i.e. will there a "BUY NOW" Button appear?

3. This "Contact us about this image" feature....  Can i disable this? If so, then how would i do that?

4. Is it possible to set the max display size for the full images somewhere?

and last, but not least...

5. Where can i set the max number of pictures in a row?

Well.... thanks in advance David.

Regards,

Thorsten

Re: FREE Images

Hi Thorsten,

Thanks for your kind words. I take it you haven`t checked out the demo's? Taking your questions one at a time:

1. Yes, that is correct.

2. Please see the demo and the category with the buy option enabled.

3. In the 'images.tpl.php' template, simply remove the table that has the pop up window link.

4. In the 'inc/functions.php' file, scroll down to around line 316 and the line that displays the image tag. Add width and height attributes to this tag.

5. This is set in the settings. Again, check the demo.

David.

2. yes i did check the demo but i haven't seen a buy option enabled.

3.  Cool. Thanks! Will check it later.

4. Thanks... will check it later, too.

5. Yeah, i changed it there to 3 in a row. but it shows 3 in a col. smile That's why i was asking. But i recheck it again to make sure.

Re: FREE Images

Thorsten,

Well the rows are determined by how many images you specify per page. The one category has the options enabled to buy the pictures, you will see radio buttons when you click to view more info for an image.

David.

Re: FREE Images

HI David,

Well, now i've seen it. Cool.... Thanks.

But the rows can't be set through Admin Panel. I set them to "3" but they keep showing 4 in a row. Any ideas why? What am i doing wrong?

Re: FREE Images

Thorsten,

That definitely IS an error, sorry about that. Re-download the script again and replace the index.php file.

David.

Re: FREE Images

Thorsten,

No, nothing you did, it was entirely my own fault. I have added the update to the bug fixes.

Access Denied on the forum? Not sure, not seen that before. Send me a screen capture if you keep getting it.

David.

Re: FREE Images

Hi David,

ok, i thought it was me. Wouldn't have been the first time. smile

Here's a screenshot of the "Access Denied" problem:

<a href="http://www.spiritofvoice.com/image1.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> <img src="http://www.spiritofvoice.com/image1.jpg" alt="" style="width:150px" /></a>

I wanted to add a topic regarding a question about the thickbox.

Kind regards,

Toto

Re: FREE Images

Looks like it might only appear in IE. I`ll check the forum website to see if anyone has mentioned it.

Thanks,
David.

Re: FREE Images

Hi David,

Nope, still don't work. I am using Netscape 7+.

Well.. I am posting it in here now.

-------------------------------------------------

OK. Regarding the Thickbox of the gallery. Do you know how i can change the position of the image shown?
Can i bring that box a bit further to the top? I was trying for hours but couldn't do it.

Kind regards,

Thorsten

Re: FREE Images

Oh well worth a try. I did what they said on the site. sad

I think the thickbox positions the box relative to the browser window. Javascript is a foreign language to me at the best of times, so no idea. You could try asking the developer of the thickbox:

http://jquery.com/demo/thickbox/

David

<em>Did you block me? </em>

No, its some feature thats in place and I don`t know what. I'm not getting any errors myself, which is strange. Maybe its a Netscape thing.
