If the Paypal IPN system is setup correctly it should work fine.

IPN system is setup properly, I am working the whole day with this script trying to search for the problem. It is really frustrated. Please take a look at the script.

Script works fine and has been working fine for many people for many months, so possibly a setup issue. The reason the download link doesn`t appear and emails don`t get sent is that Paypal isn`t sending back the response correctly. Which usually points to the IPN being setup wrong or a configuration option in Paypal not being enabled.
Difficult to tell sometimes why it fails.

Can u make grap some pictures from your proper paypal setup in order to follow the right configuration. I can't solve this problem.
Isn`t there some already in the docs? Mind you, Paypal have updated their system since then, so maybe out of date. You`ll have to wait for the next version for any updated docs.
I hope in the future you don't depend on paypal
New version supports 2Checkout and Google Checkout.
in fact I noticed people can download all the music I upload, if I am able to pay some seconds of the track then people won't download the whole music. Like that the script is useless
Sorry, I`ve read that through several times and it makes no sense. If you are 'able to pay some seconds'? What does that mean? You mean 'play' some seconds? I`m still not sure what you mean though.
If its useless to you best to find something else? If you want to send over a small donation and your log in details I can take a look at your setup.

Means they don't even want to buy it but I tried to download the whole music and I can do it myself. Means it is useless since I have 2 important negatives things. I can not send my log in, I can send you pictures how is my configuration but believe me, I followed all your tutorials and I wasn't success. Maybe on you should take a look at your script to see if something is wrong with paypal. I am out of idea already. I can send you a donation asap but please fix the download link. I am not asking you so much.

Then make a smaller preview, thats the idea of a preview track, it lasts for a few seconds.

There are no problems with the download link, so it must be a Paypal setting. You do have a premier or business account? Not a personal account? And Curl is enabled? I`ve tested the payment many times in Maian Music, both in live and sandbox mode and it works just fine.
Sorry it hasn`t worked out for you. Maybe the next version will work better. Obviously without seeing or testing your setup I can`t help much.

I made a sandbox account, I payed myself and I did the IND notification, everything by the payment went ok, and then it says thanks you, click on the download link, but actually it is not sending any download link and it doesnt show the download link. let me know if u want to enter to my computer so I can let u see what I am talking about. David, Great Script as a matter of fact all of your scripts are great....
I am having the same problem... I can't seem to figure it out. I already know it has nothing to do with your script... I'm not a newbie but configuring this to work with Paypal is driving me crazy.....
I definitely can't get the download link in Paypal Sandbox.. It goes through the entire process all the way to the Thank You page in the script. It even mentions to use the link to download, but there isn't any link to click on.
So I tried using live paypal using making the purchases only .10 cent so to not really use up money on my debit card, but anyway, it went through the whole process and still the same results.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the IPN URL is the same as the Music Store URL correct? So if I have the script running from a different directory other than the root directory ( for instance, www.mysite.com/music ) than the IPN URL should be www.mysite.com/music right?

Did you look at the docs? The IPN is slightly different, but if the IPN is enabled, then the script should auto calculate the correct url. So shouldn`t really make any difference.
Hard to really say why this is failing.

I had an issue with people using iPhones or iPads to try to download the files. I added instructions to the download link email that stated they needed to download it to their pc or mac first and then add it to their mp3 device. I also noticed that the ipads and iphones won't support the flash player for the music preview. But I was aware of that issue since my I had built my main site with flash and it won't play on my iPad or my iPhone. works fine with android.
The script works great with normal pc's and mac's so I just added instructions. Hope people "read the instructions: lol

Sadly, a lot of people won`t. I`ll make better support for phones and tablets in the future.
