On the Currency Converter page of the Admin section it states:
You`ll need to set up a cron tab to have the rates updated daily in your database. If you don`t have this function, you can simply update this page at any time to add the latest rates to your database.
How do I "simply update this page" if I do not want to set up a crontab.
I can access the xml file at the website mentioned and see that the values are updated every day but how do I get that information into the mc_currencies table of the database?
- Thanks

When you are in admin on the currency converter page, click the button at the bottom. 'Update Currency Conversions'. This also reads the xml and updates the rates, even for currencies you don`t have selected. Maybe I need to make that clearer or have a separate button?

I have done that for many days in a row but it does not change anything. The rates have always stayed the same. Does the program itself (currencyConverter.php ???) get the xml file from the web site? Just wondering how it is supposed to work. Maybe I am missing something.

Yes, you`re right, its not working. No problem, I`ll fix that in 2.02. Sorry.
What does work is the actual cron routine, so access the 'currency-updater.php' file in your browser that is in your cart root. That does work. I assume most people have used the cron, hence the reason this issue hasn`t been found.

Thank you very much.
