Buttons and icons not showing up

I just installed Maian uploader on a clients site. Works great except when i log in as a user, to see the user interface, and upload an image, then i go to the 'files uploaded" screen, the little icons that says "preview" etc arent there - just a blank white space, however if i hover my mouse in that area, i see the greybox popup of the image. Whats going on?

Also the icons in the admin area are all squashed, very flat and grainy, its very weird.

Hmm, without actually seeing this I can`t even begin to guess what the issue might be.
