Hi,
I tried installing the support desk, and get green checks for everything, but when told to login, I get this error:
"Settings table doesn`t exit. Please run the installer before attempting to access the admin area!"
Yet the settings table showed a green check as being installed. I deleted my database and installed again, and get the same message.
Changed CMOD on the recommended file folders to 777 from 755 which they were by default.
Any ideas?

Hi Mike,
If you go in your database, does the settings table exist? Also, on the installer page, did you complete the installation. ie, after the tables got created, did you then proceed so that the data was added? The table creation appears, then a button says 'Install Maian Support Data'. Did you click that to complete?
I`ve got no idea whats going wrong if you did do that. You are the first person to encounter this. If you want to use the contact option I`ll take a look for you. I`m curious myself as to the issue.

Yes, I've gone through that process a couple of times, and everything showed as good. I got the screen that says "Installation complete" with the check mark.
The settings table is there.
Will be glad to have you look at it. Just have to remember how to set up access for you to the folder in ftp.

Got your note about issues with my server, and tried installing on Hostgator, which I saw somewhere has worked before.
Got the same errors.
I'm suspecting my FTP transfer.
New machine with Win 7 but seem to have issues with FTP for some reason. Will upload from my other computer and see if that is the issue.

Ok Mike, thanks. Sorry its been an issue. Like I said, whenever I put code together to connect to the database it would connect but it wouldn`t allow read or write access. Weird.
