IE8 v other browsers

I'm having a problem with site looking very different on IE 8 and other browsers..... basically IE 8 is the problem. If you look at https://www.thebestmusicshop.co.uk ....  the top line of links won't sit in the box (they do on all other browsers) I've also had to add code to create a space between the search bar and my links bar (strip of blue links at the top below search bar) on IE8 otherwise it sits on top of the search bar and other links (again this isn't the case in all other browsers) however this means there is a large gap at top of page on all other browsers

Can you help.... please, I'm running out of hair :-)

Re: IE8 v other browsers

Hi John,

The first thing you should always do with cross browser issues is make sure your page validates. Run it through the W3C validator and you`ll see a number of code errors. Fix those first and then see what you`ve got.

http://validator.w3.org/

At the moment you`ve got nearly 60 code errors.
