Here's the conversions add-on for your Maian Recipes script v2.0

When someone submits or checks out the recipes on your site, it is quite possible that some recipes will be in metric and some in imperial scales, litres and pints, grams and ounces, can get a bit confusing for those who don't know how to convert one from the other.
Well here's the answer, a little addition I added to mine at http://recipes.wlsjourney.org
Check out one of the recipes and look at the new links on the right in the 'Recipe Links' section.
All the conversion consists of is one new folder of files and an edit to one page.
The new links cover:
Liquid Conversions
Weight Conversions
Temperature Conversions
Gas Mark Tables
Vegetable Cooking Times
Length Conversions
All links open in a new window.

You`ll need to have a bit of coding knowledge for this. Look at the existing code and try and replicate it for the new box.

Open the 'classes/recipes.php' file and find line 392. You`ll see:

htmlspecialchars(cleanData($COMMENTS->comment))

Firstly, try htmlentities instead:

htmlentities(cleanData($COMMENTS->comment))

If that doesn`t help, try adding a charset:

htmlentities(cleanData($COMMENTS->comment),ENT_QUOTES,'utf-8')

If utf-8 returns nothing, try iso-8859-1.

I need iso-8859-1 and when i replace: htmlspecialchars(cleanData($COMMENTS->comment))
to: htmlentities(cleanData($COMMENTS->comment),ENT_QUOTES,'iso-8859-1')
have i a blank Site.

this is my Line 392 after edit:
