Are the loaders you have installed the latest loaders to support v8.2 encoded files? If the loaders are for an earlier version it will not run and you will see this error. You`ll need to update the loaders you have installed to the latest version or contact your host to update them.

Re: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10]
Hi David
Thanks for your reply.
The
Source Guardian loaders I have downloaded directly from
Source Guardian's website you have a link to, so I presume
they would be the latest loaders?
I have
directly contacted my web hosting support team who have
informed me they are unable to install or assist me to
install these loaders as their servers are 'shared' and I
need a 'virtual' server to stop interference with their
other users. My web hosting is with Crazy Domains an
Australian company with whom up until now have had no
problems with.
What do I need to do now to get
Maian Support script installed and running? Is this a common
problem with others who wish to use your script and require
these loaders?
Your assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks

Re: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10]
Hi David
Can you please kindly reply to my
post on the problem I have with not being able to install
Source Guardian.
I really need to get a
help desk up and running and would like to use your script
to do so, but am stuck.
As I said I have
downloaded the latest version from Source Guardian's
website, and have contacted my web hosting who have advised
I am unable to install SC on their shared servers.
What do I do now?
Thanks

Hi Neat,
If your server cannot support Source
Guardian encrypted files, I`m afraid Maian Support will not
run.
What version of PHP are you running, do you
know?

Hi David
Can you please advise Web Hosting
companies you know of where SG is installed and who support
SG?
What companies do your users of the
script use?
Thanks

Re: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10]
Hi Neat,
I have no idea what hosts people use.
Many shared hosts will support encoded files. Ideally a VPS
or dedicated box is best where you have root access and can
install what you want.
If your current host has
PHP5.2.5 or less, all you need to do is create a folder in
the support installation called 'ixed' and then add the
loaders there. Later versions requires modifications to the
PHP.ini and extensions paths.

Re: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10]
Hi David
My current host is running 5.2.11.
I have created a folder 'ixed' in my site's
public_html folder. I have uploaded loaders
'ixed.5.2ts.lin' and 'ixed5.2.lin' into this folder.
I then type into my browser http://anita
skinner.com/helpdesk/install as this is where Maian
script is. I now get the message:
"Source Guardian Error Script loading terminated.
Ixed loader file not found! Encoded files cannot currently
run on this server. Please download the test file from the
software website to find out how to enable encoded files.
Alternatively, visit the Source Guardian website for more
help and information."
I have tried
accessing installation with both the ixed.lin files in the
'ixed' folder and also with only one of the ixed.lin files
as I'm not sure why there is two files. On all three
occasions, I get the same SC error message.
Sounds so easy, but it just won't work!!
Suggestions from here please, I would really like to use
your script.
Thanks

Re: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10]
Ok, well the good news is this *should* work ok if the correct loaders are in place. Did you run the test script to see which loaders are required or are you guessing? The message is saying the ixed loader file was not found, which would lead me to believe you don`t have the correct one on the server.

Re: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10]
@David: You may want to rethink your use of Source
Guardian. I've been using it for 3 years and recently have
had problems as webhosts finally upgrade to PHP5. Version
5.2.5 and higher require the hosting company to install the
extension (loaders) in PHP's extension_dir folder; your
users will not be able to use run-time loading. SG is not as
widely-used as Zend or ionCube, and some hosting companies
will not install the loaders.
@globalneat: Try
Host Gator. They install SG by default on all their Linux
servers.

Re: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10]
Thanks Don. Yes, I had thought about this and was
wondering what kind of impact Source Guardian would have.
Run time loading is certainly the ideal solution and I
agree, it does get a little complicated for people who need
to modify the PHP.ini file.
ionCube works in
pretty much the same way, but is of course installed by
default on many hosts like you say.
I think for
now I`ll stick with SG and see how things pan out.

PHPshield is the best to guard your script and very widely used across most servers.

But those servers PHPshield enabled are not able to able to install your script.

No, because it uses different loaders.
